What are Cookies?
Some websites utilise a standard technology to collect information about how their website is used by individual computers connected to the internet.
This information is gathered through "Cookies". Cookies are small files of letters and numbers that are put on a computer's hard drive. These small files allow a website to distinguish each individual user of the website, to monitor website traffic and to personalise the content of the site for the user. This ultimately helps to provide a good experience when browsing the website.
Please note however that Cookies cannot retrieve any personal data from a computer’s hard drive or pass on computer viruses.

This helps to improve the way the website works (e.g. by ensuring users are finding what they are looking for more easily). These Cookies do not collect any information that could identify the user. All the information collected is anonymous and is only used to help to improve how the website works.

Third Party/Targeting Cookies - These are Cookies used by Social network sites (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.), which may use information about your visit to target advertising to you on their websites. Third Party Cookies such as these are set by a domain other than the one being visited by the user.
